Sure, employment contracts are legal. There are no laws preventing either of you from signing such a contract. However, with the current environment of layoffs and firings, unless you are a key employee that they cannot afford to lose, I really don't see your boss signing anything that prevents him from firing you or terminating employment.

Negotiations are done all the time. The higher up you are in your company, the more bargaining power you have. Your boss liking you may get you a higher salary, but not necessarily a guarantee of long term employment, especially if your company is downsizing for economic reasons.
Timing is crucial. If the time comes when you are prepared to move on and your boss does counter offer, then have the conversation of your concerns about future layoffs and see what he says. You may be able to negotiate some other benefits that will do you well if you stay and a layoff does happen.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPXFoyhJyrM

The jobs are mentioned right at the beginning. I would say Combat Controller:

Another popular one is Pararescue

Ten years is standard. You can add more or less if it makes your resume better.

Created or saved? If you ask the Govt, "saved" jobs is an actual statistic, however unproven.

I think a better question is, how much money from stimulis could of been sent to each un-employed person vs. sending it to pet pork projects and campaign coffers? 800billion divided by 10% of the country (3.3 million)= $242,000 (rounded down) Per unemployed worker.

Really? and we still have people on food stamps while we give stimulis money to groups to count ants and study butterfly mating.

Were the jobs lost the result of Obama policies? or a result of the momentum of a bad economy continuing to roll downhill-- no matter WHo had been elected?
